So here is a neat trick for the SysOps out there.
If you want to convert any ASCII files straight over to SEQ for your BBS (any BBS really, not just Color 64), you can use the Color 64 v8.1a editor in conjunction with a Commodore 64 emulator (Vice, C64 Forever, etc).
Simply map the attached D64 file to your emulator and load +EDITOR. Then copy the ASCII contents you want to your clipboard of the PC and paste in the emulator. Save file (using SEND command in the editor) and move it to your BBS.
1: Copy contents of desired text into PC Clipboard
2: With emulator loaded, run +EDITOR
3: Select default drive/directory options in Editor unless some change is needed.
4: give it a filename…..
5: Paste clipboard to Emulator (I did this with C64 Forever)
6: use “/s” to save file
Note that editor is limited to 500 lines.
