Decided to dust off the CF card backup image (Dec 2024) and test out AmiKit running Max’s BBS 1.54 - and with telser it seems to be pretty solid. In this configuration, even file transfers work (they didn’t with wifi modem + Amiga 500).

The funny part is the AmiKit build won’t install on Fedora, so I had to create a VM of Linux Mint, which in turn runs Amiberry for AmiKit.

I might as well delete the other users… the BBS was down close to two years!

It’s running “unofficially” at the moment at port 6400. It’s also now running AmiExpress - there was a protocol issue with Max’s BBS causing a crash with AmiKit.

Itchybutt.org or WestwoodBBS.net will get to it - but it’s running under the itchy banner.
Most of the kinks are worked out, but pardon our dust.
