Disclaimer: I take no credit in Color 64 BBS development, whether it be the fantastic programming of 7.37 by Greg Pfountz or the modifications made by Anthony Tolle and Fred Ogle of 8.0 and 8.1. I’m just a sysop putting in numerous mods originally developed for v7.37, fixing some 8.1 code bugs I’ve found, and adding some of my own things I thought would be neat to see.
I’m currently cleaning up my personalization that was specific for my BBS and saving two builds for the masses:
- Build 1) SD2IEC build for complete use solely with SD2IEC (but this can still support other drives along with it)
- Build 2) Normal build for multiple drive use.
I believe the SD2IEC build is about a month from completion. The core of the work is done and now I just need to go through everything with a fine-tooth comb. I also want to make sure the Network 1.26 adjustments I put in are thoroughly tested and finish manual updates to support.
Here’s a tally of adjustments I’ve made:
- Sysop Chat function restored
- Networking 1.26a restored (bug in application and node setup fixed, modified to include dialing domain addresses)
- Email Notification (requires python3 on separate networked computer)
- SYSOP In/Out flag and notification
- Additional screens (Welcome, Wall, Sysop In/Out, User email notification)
- New Games area using AUX3 with Games Menu
- User Self-Service Profile Editor
- Auto Signature
- User Information (Name/Phone/Email/City,State)
- User personal profile screen
- DOS Wedge Help Menu
- Fast Logon when Login from Local Console
- AutoSignature in Editor
- Updated xxx msg module for editor use in programming modules
- Graffiti Wall feature
- Random “Sayings” at logon – just prior to first command prompt
- Additional Overlay Routines
- Sysop Upload to any drive

If there are any interested Sysops that would like this as a beta test while I refine, please reach out to me here!
