I got there when the main gates opened, and went straight to the consignment line which was already forming, with doors opening an hour later. This put me as the 30th (or so) person back. I still had a hard time getting to things at that point. Stuff was disappearing quick! A couple of hours later (as you gathered), it was slim pickings! But it got me a cool retro Mac for $100 that I never use!
Yeah I went ahead and installed the app. I’ll remove it after the event.
I’m driving up Friday morning. Not sure what time I’ll be in town yet… Looking at probably a 6-7 hour drive depending on traffic and stops… I have to drop off the dog on the way out of town as well.
I’d like to be in line first thing Saturday morning for the consignment as well. I’m wondering if I can check in on Friday and get my wristbands so I don’t have to wait to check in on Saturday.
As Nuke said, by the time I got into the consignment room everything was pretty picked over. I did manage to get that 1541-II last year for like $30, which I’ve never used either, but all the Amiga stuff (if there was any) was gone.
do you know how late they’re open for wristband pickup friday? i hope to leave westchester NY around 3 and get through the city area before rush hour. if i do i should make it there in less than 90 minutes i believe. or to that area. if i can get the wristband friday i’d like to also be there in the consignment line at opening. i have a list of wants i hope to find at least one of a few of them and try and stay optimistic. i also wanna track down bill P i have my old monitor i want him to look at if he can fix for me its the one from my childhood. he knows im bringing it for him to look at. also i have aquired a mac se fdhd with a stuck disk in it and want to see if someone there can look at it.

Pics, and goodies found??
The show was good except for the bomb threat that happened around 2:15pm on Sunday that cleared the place out. We got evacuated from the building near the end of the YouTuber’s presentation. Won’t stop me from going back next year though. More on that later, I’m getting ready to pack and hit the road back down to VA.
I did get an Amiga 500 on Saturday and Adam got some stuff to. I do like the Saturday / Sunday experience better than Friday / Saturday and will probably do it this way from now on if I can make the event.
Oh yeah, sorry about that. I was really super jealous, so…
Amiga 500! NICE! I started working on my A500 this weekend, considering standing back up another BBS that I had running on it with MaxBBS. Have to work out some kinks though.
Hopefully next year for me, gents!
Picked this up for $180.00. It’s going to need some retro-brighting at some point. There was another A500 that was only the computer for $200 and it sold.
I heard there was also an A2000 that went for like $400. Don’t know if it worked or not. We also saw an A2000 case for $80. It all sold.
There are some great keyboard sets out there for the a500 - I did that with mine and also replaced the case itself. Looks brand new.
just home now as i was hiking in PA a few days since. My 1084s is up and running with the BBS and my SE FDHD is doing its thing tho a little noisy. About to fire up my 1541-ii. Pics to come once i get everything in place! Oh yeah and the Sony Mavica!. Great hanging with ya Havok!
Where did you find A500 keyboard sets? I’m assuming you’re talking key caps and not replacing the entire keyboard.
I’ve already reached out to Kevin Ottum about a Nu Brick PSU for the device.
Need to figure out an HDMI solution as well. Any thoughts there?
I’m hoping I’ll have some time to open it up this weekend and see what’s going on. Might be some mods in there that I’m unaware of.
Good times Adam. Wish you could have stayed longer. You can get good 3rd party batteries for that Mavica on Amazon. Just use the model number of the battery.
A1200.net, but yes, i believe it was entire keyboard though they may have keycaps. See New Amiga Keycaps - Amiga Replacement Cases & Keycaps – A1200NET
Have you had good dealings with them? I’ve heard they can be extremely slow and also that they don’t respond to emails.
They worked fine in my case (ha! case! get it?) - but that was about three years ago. I looked back, I ordered the keycaps (black) and with shipping cost it came to 91,21 €. I didn’t keep records of how quick it shipped, but I do have that when I ordered a case from them, it shipped the next day. Recalling from frail memory, my orders with them took about three-four weeks to arrive.
I never had to deal with their support.
I can tell you that I continued to do business with them through at least four purchases and never came out of it pissed off at them.
Great. Thanks for the info!
guys i was bad. i just saw the announcement of the 64c ultimates and well. i dont have a 64c. except now i will in september. while i definitely don’t NEED another Commodore and i’ve been resisting these for a while now, i pulled the trigger on a starlight 64c, pre-ordered and shipping in September!
