The VCF event is inbound, set for Friday, April 4th through Sunday, April 6th at the InfoAge Science and History Museum located at Wall, New Jersey. This promises to be an excellent event with Exhibitions, Computer classes (CoCo and Atari are currently listed), Consignment and more.
Doors are scheduled to open 0730. Information for this event will be updated as we draw closer to the event!
Excellent. I’m going to put in for the April 4th off today. I don’t think DF will come along but I’m going to try my best to get there this year. Plus there’s a White Castle just north of the event. I’ve always wanted to go to one.
So, to follow up, I’ve got April 4th off and will be traveling up there that day. I don’t know yet if I’m going to spend two or three days at the show. I think the tickets are a little bit expensive for non-members. So I may do Fri-Sat, or Sat-Sun instead of all 3 days. Regardless, I plan to stay Friday and Saturday night and travel home on Sunday.
Best deal I can find for lodging is for the Residence Inn listed on the VCF listing. Through a Google Maps search I found it for $176.00 a night, which is a bit lower than VCF’s listed block price. There’s a bunch of 2-star motels and such around there, but almost all of them have terrible reviews, roaches, thin walls, etc.
I’d like to hear other views. Has anyone else found any deals?
I haven’t taken a look see yet. If I go, it will be probably Saturday only. I’d really like to finally meet Amiga Bill after receiving his WAUG emails for a few years!
im hopin to get down there between 930 and 10. i’ve never been so not sure what parking is like and where a good spot to meet is. nuke has my cell # and i was planning to keep in the loop and text that morning with ETA.
